Why These Resources Matter

  • Ensure every neighbor has accurate, fact-based information.
  • Share with friends and CCN residents who may be just learning about the GID.
  • Prepare for the upcoming Bromwell Elementary meeting on Sept 16th, where we must show up informed, united, and ready.

Send Your Letter to the Board

One of the most effective ways to make your voice heard is to contact the board directly. We’ve made it easy for you by gathering letters and examples from neighbors who have already spoken out.

Use these letters as a starting point — personalize them with your own experiences, concerns, and perspective, or copy and paste them as they are. Every message counts, and the more they hear from us, the harder we are to ignore.

Tip: Keep your message respectful, factual, and to the point — but make it clear where you stand.

Official Responses to Resident Letter

Our neighbors have been writing directly to City officials and consultants to demand answers about the GID. We believe in transparency, so we’re publishing those exchanges here for everyone to read.

Most recently, Paid City Consultant, Jamie Geillis responded to a resident’s detailed letter about the GID process. You can read her full reply — and judge for yourself whether our voices are being respected.

Survey & Data

Flawed, Filtered, and Ignored: The GID Survey Was Never Valid

The city claims the GID proposal is based on community input, but the survey was anything but reliable. Over 210 responses were flagged as fake and removed after being traced to bots and duplicate IP addresses. Out of the remaining responses, only 354 individuals completed the survey in full — a fraction (less than 5% to be exact) of TOTAL surveyed residents.

Even more concerning, dozens of respondents were disqualified for not living or owning property in the area, yet the city still uses this data to push the GID forward. Despite low participation, manipulated inputs, and overwhelming skepticism, officials are treating the results as a mandate. It’s not community-driven — it’s manufactured consent.

The Numbers Don’t Lie — The Survey Fails Basic Standards of Validity

Despite being used to justify the GID, the city’s own data shows that 8 out of 10 target groups did not meet the minimum threshold for statistical validity. Only two segments — “All Residential Owners” and “Residential Renters” — reached the response rate needed for a valid survey at a 5% margin of error with 95% confidence.

The remaining groups, including Cherry Creek North residents and business owners, fell well below the bar. This means the conclusions being drawn from the survey are mathematically unreliable and deeply misleading. Using this flawed data to justify “continuing the GID feasibility process” is not responsible nor understandable, especially with 65% of survey participants voted NOT INTERESTED IN THE GID.

Cherry Creek North Said NoRespect Our Boundaries

We are not speaking for Cherry Creek East or the BID. If other neighborhoods wish to pursue a General Improvement District, that is their decision. But the data makes one thing clear: Cherry Creek North overwhelmingly opposes the GID.

With 65.53% of CCN respondents not interested, and fewer than 9% expressing strong support, our neighborhood has made its position known. We are simply asking to be removed from this process and respected as a distinct voice. Forcing Cherry Creek North into a taxing district it clearly rejects is unacceptable — and it must stop now.
